Digital Motion Picture - DMP has revolutionized the film industry worldwide. The creative application of faster and more powerful digital video tools is allowing today's film and video producers to push the technology envelope in projects for television, film, digital motion pictures, interactive media and the Web. This coupled with the power and availability of digital motion picture cameras and computer-based editing gives anyone the means to produce their own movie, music video or documentary.
SAE Institute’s filmmaking diploma has two main objectives: first to give students a solid understanding of the theories, processes, systems and equipment used in digital film and video production, and secondly to provide in-depth practical experience using the latest equipment and techniques. This course follows the SAE concept of combining technical skills with creativity and equips students with the skills to compete in today’s demanding filmmaking industry. This course gives students the opportunity to produce short films, music videos, documentaries and advertisements, and will leave SAE Institute with a strong portfolio of work. Successful completion of the Diploma course is a prerequisite for students who wish to continue their studies with the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Digital Film Arts.
